To ensure worker’s voices are heard in a variety of decision making forums. In 2017, this committee was very active. NASW-CO committee members participated as part of a group of The Child Welfare Resiliency Taskforce consisting of key stakeholders, child welfare experts, and advisory resources to implement HB 17-1283 related to retaining child welfare workers. Future committee work could include conducting advocacy on behalf of child welfare workers as well as offering worker support and improving public perception of child welfare. If you are interested in becoming the chair of this committee or mobilizing the committee again, please email Heather McLaughlin here.
