Walk for Candidates

Interested in "walking" to support a candidate? Don't feel put off by talking to people you don't know. You almost always walk with a partner, and it's a great way to meet new folks in your community. It's pretty simple. Candidates do not expect more than 2-3 hours of your time. All you have to do is let the resident know who you are supporting, ask if they are familiar with the candidate, and leave them with the candidate's literature. It is good exercise, goes by quickly, and is a lot of fun!

Walking for candidates provides an opportunity to educate voters on the issues relevant to their community. Outside of money, walking is the single most important way to support a candidate. In many ways, it can be more valuable and it makes an enormous difference at election time. And be sure to let the Candidate know you are with NASW Colorado.

To walk, contact the candidate's campaign directly. If you are interested in organizing an NASW Walk Day with a specific candidate, contact the Chapter Office.
