Clinical Supervision for Licensure 101: "Knowing the Basics and Starting on the Path Beyond" with trainer Debbie Knoll, LCSW

Friday, March 15 from 1:00 pm - 4:15 pm and Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 am - 12:15 pm (includes 15 min break each day)

About the Training:

This training builds on graduate-level social work skills and provides clinical supervisors with new tools to become more versatile in their roles. It is ideal for those interested in becoming clinical supervisors, or those who are new to clinical supervision. This is open to ALL mental health providers, not just MSWs, LCSW's.

During this interactive training attendees will engage with other professionals to strengthen their understanding of today’s best practice knowledge and enhance their skills to function effectively in the role of clinical supervisor for licensure.

The training will address:

· Supervisory roles and functions

· Colorado State Regulatory (DORA) Requirements

· Models of Effective Supervision and Ethical Implications

· Strategies for Clinical Supervision and Best Practices for Individual and Group Supervision

· Common Challenges to Prepare for in Clinical Supervision

· Leadership and Concepts for Further Learning

 

Parking and Venue Information:

The training will be held in Conference Room B (located in the basement) of the CO Executive Club (1776 South Jackson Street). Free all-day street parking is available one block southwest on East Montana Ave and on Garfield Street. Free two-hour street parking is available on South Jackson Street and in the west parking lot of the CO Exec. Club (where there is accessible parking).

There is free Wi-Fi access, so you may wish to bring a device so that you can access the materials for the course; or you can print them out in advance. There are very few plug-ins in the room. We will provide light snacks, coffee, and water. You may also bring whatever you would like to eat or drink.
