About the Speakers:
Balin Anderson, LCSW
Co-Presenting "Building a Solid Foundation for your Practice"
Balin Anderson, LCSW will be talking with you about the logistics of starting a private practice. She's wonderfully detail-oriented AND she has started a private practice in two different states, so you can bet she knows her stuff!
She graduated from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Following five years of clinical social work in the field of reproductive health care, she launched her private psychotherapy practice in New York City. Balin’s clinical focus is providing psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy to adolescents and adults. She is also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Balin is an adjunct faculty member at GSSW @ DU, where she teaches in the mental health concentration. She serves as the co-chair of the joint NASW and CSCSW Practice Standards Committee. Balin is excited to share with you some of her tips for establishing a solid foundation for your clinical social work practice.
Margaret Matlock, LCSW, MFTC
Co-Presenting "Building a Solid Foundation for your Practice"
Margaret graduated from the Graduate School of Social work at the University of Denver with a concentration in Family Systems. She continued her training with the Denver Family Institute's two year post graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method. Margaret began her career working with families struggling with homelessness before starting her private practice, where she sees adult individuals and couples in central Denver.
Adria Estes, Owner of A.N.E. Credentialing
Presenting on "Decoding Credentialing and Insurance"
Adria is the owner of A.N.E. Credentialing and has been serving Therapists across the country for 5 years now. Adria got her start as an office manager for a midwest domestic violence agency and decided to start her own business helping therapists grow their private practice. She enjoys doing what she does best so that Therapists can do what they do best! She is happy to share her knowledge of what makes insurance billing run smoother!
Elizabeth Schulte, LCSW
Presenting "Money Matters: Business Plans, Financial Records, and Taxes" and "Navigating DORA and Ethical Practice Standards"
Liz is an MSW graduate of DU GSSW and an LCSW in Colorado, and is currently working towards her PhD in Clinical Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work. Liz is the former Chair of the NASW-CO and CSCSW Practice Standards Committee, the former President of CSCSW, and currently serves as the CSCSW Board Treasurer.
Liz has been a clinical social worker for over 15 years, and has been in private practice since 2012 working with individuals across the life-span. As part of her private practice, Liz supervises first and second year MSW interns, supervises social workers and LPCs working towards clinical licensure in Colorado, and provides post-licensure consultation to social workers in support of their clinical practice. Liz is also a former accountant who consults with mental health professionals to help them organize the financial aspects of their private practice.
Lisa Nelson, LCSW, ACS
Presenting "Technology and Considerations for Online Therapy Company Partnerships in Private Practice"
Lisa began her career working in community based psychiatric rehabilitation following completion of a B.S. in Psychology from Northeastern University in 2010. She graduated from Simmons College with her MSW in 2014 and obtained her LCSW in 2017. Lisa transitioned to full time private practice in 2020 after several years of outpatient work with adults who have committed sexual offenses. Lisa serves adult clients and specializes in financial social work as well as anxiety, depression, and stress management. She is the events coordinator on the CSCSW board and aims promote continued connection and growth within the social work community in this role.
Bethany Raab, LCSW, ACS
Presenting "Marketing Your Private Practice: Identifying Your Niche and Ethical Social Media Use"
Bethany is a 2006 DU GSSW graduate who has been a therapist for 16 years and in private practice for 10 years. Her clinical focus is adolescents who struggle with relationships and problematic sexual behavior.
Bethany and her team at Colorado LCSW Supervision provide group and individual supervision for early-career social workers. Consultation services include practice-building and supervision of supervision for those pursuing their Approved Clinical Supervisor credential.
Bethany is the current President of the Colorado Society for Clinical Social Work. Previously she served as an Education Committee Co-Chair for CSCSW and Co-Chair of the NASW Private Practice Group.

This workshop will not be recorded and we are only able to grant CEUs for live attendance. If you miss a portion of the workshop, you will still receive a CEU certificate that reflects the presentations that were attended. Full refunds will be offered for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the first session. No refunds will be offered for day of cancellations.
