Private Practice Group

NASWCO Chapter 0 10373

Virtual Meeting via Zoom

The Private Practice Group focuses on the business management and administrative aspects of developing and operating a privately owned clinical social work practice. The group's goal is to provide tips, guidance, professional resources, collegial support, and positive encouragement surrounding the successes and challenges of starting and owning your own practice. The group meets on the 4th Saturday of each month from 9:30am-11am via Zoom (except in June and November, when the group holds a casual coffee hour on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:30am-11am via Zoom, & July and December, when the committee does not meet) and sometimes hosts external speakers on a variety of educational topics including insurance, billing, fee setting, marketing, legal business organization, and bookkeeping, as well as providing mutual support amongst group members to discuss setting up and maintaining your private practice. Pre-contemplative, new, and seasoned private practice social workers are welcome. This is a space for NASW Members only.
