Overview
The CE Provider Program was developed to meet the needs of agencies, hospitals, individuals, and human service associations wishing to offer quality continuing education to social workers. The program enables social workers to be confident in the quality of education programs sponsored by other (non-NASWCO) organizations. Providers must meet certain criteria in order to award NASWCO-endorsed Continuing Education Credits (CECs). The Education Committee reviews and approves (or denies) all applications for Provider status.
To find the current list of approved CE Providers, please visit our Approved CE Providers page
Types of Approval
- Individual Titles: For predefined educational activities. A single topic presented on one or multiple days, without concurrent sessions. Organizations can apply for approval of multiple titles. Dates do not need to be set for activities, but topic, learning objectives, etc must be established and submitted as part of your application.
- Conference: For programs providing a selection of concurrent workshops, on a single day or over multiple days.
- Unlimited Titles: For an agency offering more than 10 educational titles per year. Educational activities do not need to be fully defined prior to receiving approval. Approval will be granted based on how organizations determine relevant activities and appropriate presenters.
