Clinical Supervision for Licensure 101

This training builds on graduate-level social work skills and provides clinical supervisors with new tools to become more versatile in their roles. It is ideal for those interested in becoming clinical supervisors, or those who are new to clinical supervision. This is open to ALL mental health providers, not just MSWs, LCSWs, however the content is most specific to LCSWs.

The training addresses:

      • Supervisory roles and functions
      • Colorado State Regulatory (DORA) Requirements
      • Models of Effective Supervision and Ethical Implications
      • Strategies for Clinical Supervision and Best Practices for Individual and Group Supervision

Get excited! The NASW Colorado Chapter is now recruiting for the Social Workers Book Club—and we’d love for you to join us!

In our virtual, asynchronous community, you can earn up to 20 continuing education credits per licensure renewal cycle while connecting with fellow social workers to explore fascinating books that explore social work practice, diversity, social justice, equity, psychology, and sociology. Plus, you might even get the chance to engage directly with some of the authors!

Some of our past reads include Poverty, by America by Matthew Desmond, Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez, Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, Five Little Indians by Michelle Good, and Together by Vivek H. Murthy The best part? You can join discussions on your own time in our flexible online forum.

Participation is just $79/year for members and $99/year for non-members, which includes CE credits for passed quizzes.

The book club provides members with the opportunity to:

  • Earn 3 CEUs for each quiz you complete with a score of 80% or more.
  • The group will read 6 books per year, so participants have the opportunity to earn up to 18 CEUs per year **of note, Colorado allows a maximum of 20 CEU hours every 2 years in the Independent Learning Category of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Discover new authors and thought-provoking books on diversity, equity, social justice, psychology, and sociology.
  • Connect with fellow social workers, expand your professional network and learn from your peers.
