Licensed ASL Fluent Clinician - WellPower

Job Description: Provide unique direct clinical care for Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. This position actively participates in a multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive clinical services. The approach of the team is strengths-based, person-centered, and culturally responsive.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Provide diagnostic mental health assessments as well as individual, family, play, couple, and/or group psychotherapy along with crisis intervention and case management.
  • Develop treatment plans, monitor treatment progress and follow-up as clinically indicated.
  • Facilitate the coordination of medication needs of people served with psychiatric, case management, and medical resources.
  • Facilitate the individual’s and family’s growth and development with an emphasis on strengths and resiliency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners in support of the individual’s and family’s growth and development.
  • Ability to effectively deliver services over both telehealth video platforms and in-person settings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with agency standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, in-services and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in social work or doctorate in psychology.
  • Licenses: Current license as a LCSW or Licensed Psychologist in the State of Colorado or imminently license eligible. LAC a plus.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience providing individual, family, and/or group therapy. Experience providing clinical behavioral health services to deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind children and adults.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Play therapy and substance use treatment experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with use of auxiliary services including sign language interpreting, CART services, hearing assistive technology, communication access technology such as videophones and captioned phones.
  • Strong knowledge of the diverse linguistic, cultural, psychosocial, access and communication needs of deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind populations.

Compensation: LCSW/LPC/LMFT: $32.15/hr ASL Language Differential - $2.50/hr
